Psychotherapy for Women on Line
Lee Krasner was her own artist; perhaps one say add, having lived somewhat behind the shadow of her husband Jackson Pollack. Despite her commitment and love to her husband and his life work, I believe her artistic identity and expression substantially grew post his devastating death. Her masterful creation Sun Woman 1957, (see below) a veritable mix of emotion, and to this one woman’s humble view, depicts her celebration and rebirth, her grief and yet simultaneously her joy and healing offering to the viewer a certain explosion of femininity.
This is the essence of my psychotherapy with women.

Vicki Bonnell
I have had the privilege of helping those in need since l981 when I received a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. I hold three Clinical Social Worker Licenses - New York, Georgia and South Carolina.
I specialize in the treatment of women from young adulthood through senior years respectfully. I hold a deep passion and commitment to helping women of all ages heal from a myriad of life’s challenges.
I am committed to journeying with the woman who has lost her way, lost her self, perhaps has given it over to someone else, who feels trapped, frightened or even terrified at not only discovering her true self but believing she is not worthy of it. I learn from those with whom I work that people can survive, heal, become whole despite the severity of fracture and live empowered, celebrated lives.
The treatment of women needs to be tailored with gender in mind. Women’s responses, symptomatology and management of any diagnoses needs to be clinically appreciated and understood. Whether she is struggling from trauma and abuse to depression, anxiety, or adjustment challenges, one must work with the specificities of this gender. Major components of one’s race, ethnicity, family history, spiritual beliefs, sexuality and relationships all play major roles in the female identity and quality of her sense of self.
ABOUT
HOW I WORK
I am committed to a kind of therapeutic relationship where a woman can come and experience safety, respect, creativity, hope, and ultimate change and restoration.
I have an integrative approach to healing including the physical, emotional, cognitive, neurological and spiritual parts respectfully.
My clinical approach is eclectic stemming from Psychodynamic Theory and Practice and the understanding of ego structures and quality of functioning. The key focus is on the discovery and resolution of motivations for one’s current areas of struggle stemming from family of origin and childhood conflicts and/or trauma.
I combine this insight-oriented approach with Cognitive-Behavioral Theory and Practice, Mindfulness Theory and Practice, Polyvagal Theory and Practice of the Autonomic Nervous System and EMDR.
WHO I WORK WITH
Bringing individual therapy to women from early young adulthood through senior years. I bring over 40 years of experience in psychotherapy practice that focuses only on women. Due to this singular focus I am able to establish diagnosis easier. This is fill copy. This is fill copy. The is fill copy.
